For your consideration we have a gorgeous hand hammered copper pot with a rolled lip and iron handles. It is in excellent condition for it’s age with no repairs. It has a wonderful patina and the iron handles have oxidized to a nice shade of red. It measures approximately 13 inches across from handle to handle and is 8 inches tall with an interior depth of 6 inches. With it’s rounded bottom and hand forged handles, it’s difficult to get an exact date, but late 1800’s to early 1900’s is an educated guess. This pot would have been used for making confections or apple jelly. This piece of primitive metalwork would be lovely for a rustic farmhouse kitchen or as a striking planter.
