For your consideration we have a Staffordshire England antique bisque hen on nest. It is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks and minimal loss of paint. The main imperfections are the small loss of paint on the head and the interior lip of the basket (last picture). The bisque chicken tureen measures approximately 8 inches tall, 9 1/2 inches long and 6 inches deep. The markings on the bottom of the piece indicate that it was produced between 1860-1875. This rare investment piece will look beautiful in a country farmhouse kitchen and will surely please any Staffordshire hen on nest collector!
