For your consideration we have an outstanding antique Don Swinton Yorkshire pottery blue transferware plate “View from Palma”. It is in remarkable condition with no chips, cracks or repairs! The only thing it has to show for it’s 200 year life span is a small amount of scuffing on the back of the plate. The approximately 10 inch diameter plate is from the Series "Views of Italy and Sicily" c. 1820. The scenes were taken from engravings published in Voyage Pittoresque ou Description des Royaumes de Naples et de Sicile by Jean Claude Richard de Saint-Non (Paris 1781-86). This gorgeous plate features a floral border accompanied by angels. It would be a beautiful addition to your collection.
